Go to MB and order a new barrel, this will be to fit your existing keys. This barrel can only be changed with the key turned to key1 so you will have to spray some PTFE or wd40 into the barrel to get it to turn,it may be difficult but it will.

I can send you the details of how to change the barrel.

I would avoid using the car till the new one comes

You will have to get the key to turn to key 1 or the steering lock will fire and you will not get it back out,,it will turn eventually.

You need the info and I need an Email address to be able to send it

So have I :D and you should have it.

Once you get the key turned to key1 I would disconnect the battery if you are not ready to get the barrel out

clutchnut, i urge you not to try forcing the key, just jiggle and wiggle - whatever, but forcing will make it worse. as malcolm our learned friend has said, it needs to be turned to position 1 to replace, if you are able to turn it this far DON'T TURN IT BACK!! just disconnect the battery with a 13mm spanner. changing the barrel may be fiddly for those that have not done it before, but if the key cannot be turned to position 1 it can take 2 hours to do, and that is for the experienced!!! note that if you can turn it to position 1, then you will be ok to turn to position 2 and start and drive the car, just remember not to turn back to position 0.
