It's a laser speed trap jammer. No idea if it works or not - hopefully not - in any case, how can you tell?

I guess it doesn't, because I have never been pulled because of it. Yet.

But it still doesn't get round the question - if there's no head unit to drive it, how can it be causing audio warnings?

Surely my problem is caused by something in-built to the car?
