Hi Guys,

Just purchased a 2011 w204 C Class Coupe 250cdi. Excellent ride so far! Took me long to find one with full on leather, pano roof - got there in the end!

Just a little background from moi - was driving a Smart 451 for the past 3+ years, prior to that had an e46 M3 - looking at the track record i'll probably jump to a Smart car in a few years

Few questions/mods that i want to do;

- Rear spoiler, original preferred; has anyone purchased the painted ones off eBay? I believe they come from abroad but i did buy one for my m3 and was good.

- De-Badge. Heard it can be done with floss and a hairdryer?

- Anyone know if it's possible to get the side mirror to dip when reversing? I've heard it's only possible with memory seats which i don't have - will be good to know if there's a work around.

- Have DRL and the side lights on? Just the same look when you unlock the car. I saw it on a w204 today while he was driving. Looked like a non facelift, but had the new headlights on as the backlights were the old ones.

Looking to remap also - any recommendations? Probably to save more fuel, or a mixture of both.

I would have thought, in that case, that you would have looked around the forums before making your first post?
I would guess almost all of your answers are already freely available if you actually looked. As a newbie, do not expect others to spend their evening looking for all the threads, and then presenting them to you.
Best advice is to post individual questions, in the correct category, and then you will be far more likely to get a response, than "bumping" your first message, giving the impression you feel everybody else has not bothered to search all the forums, and then present them to you in one place.
Forums do not work like that.
Most of us are enthusiasts like you? A lot of us have worked on some bits, on some cars, but very few are experts on almost every Mercedes. (one or two are pretty close, and you will soon learn who they are).
Basically, Just browse the forums, and learn.

There are lots of MB specialists on this forum and as someone else has mentioned there are lots of remap options available to you.

There are many members on this forum who will go out of their way to help you with your questions but be aware that there are also one or two antagonistic people out there!

I don't think items three and four are possible, despite what you saw recently...

GAD Tuning post on here - they will be able to tell you what they can do with the 651 engine.

I used a hairdryer, old credit card and a touch of polish afterwards

Don't need the credit card (can scratch the paint), they just peel off when heated with a hairdryer, keep any remaining glue warm and it will rub off with a soft cloth then just polish

You can only dip the mirror with the controls, it is part of the memory pack

As has been said GAD on here for tuning
