Got my first Mercedes which is a 1998 Vito 111CDI. Gonna be a day-camper conversion.
So much done so far. The latest has been eibach and Bilstein springs and shocks. Looks a bit more level now!

In my view you have the better engine.

If you get hooked the Vito can become obsessive with upgrades and changes to this and that.

I expect there will be 'can I do', 'how do I do' questions ahead, and it's waht we are useful for.

I've yet to start fitting new suspension on my 639, all the kit is here now.
My latest project in design is sound insulation. It's good enough on nice new roads, but not many are.

Yes I’ve already started doing loads and asking questions.
It’s much better with the new suspension kit, although it took months to arrive! They sent the wrong one first. These lovely roads of ours broke a front spring so it forced my hand into changing the whole lot. Glad I did. It looks and drives much better.
Already done the wheels and fitted a 9” Android stereo so I can use Apple CarPlay and have fitted another set of speakers.
Plus 2 old Range Rover seats in the front.
My latest issue is the rear diff.
My van is a 111cdi so I had it mapped and I’ve just upgraded to a 120cdi rear diff with better ratio for cruising. My old one was too low geared.
However it now seems that because it’s an auto it needs coding in to recalibrate it.
Trying to find someone who can do the coding. I’ve asked on here but no answers yet. Maybe after the bank holiday weekend.
