Just purchased my first Mercedes a cla agm 180 shooting brake premium plus, waited a year for the car,very happy with it except,there is no wireless phone charger installed.Sales person said it was not installed because of a computer chip shortage.I know there is a world shortage of these chips that’s why I waited a year but,once the car is built and sent to the customer shouldn’t all of the specs be there.Any thoughts?

Surely if you agreed to a certain specification when you paid for the car then you should have what you paid for and you will have a case against the dealer. Will they not install it at a later date for you?

I did ask but they said they couldn’t do anything at the moment because there is a shortage of chips.Seems to be their war cry at the moment .

I'm afraid this seems to be normal now. Some model variants even have degraded safety ratings as a result. It might be some Ford models I'm thinking of here. Not good.
