Just bought a super GLC 220d AMG line Premium 2017. (27k miles)

I've been offered a service pack for the next 4 years at £47 per month, any views on this?

Recently bought a lovely GLC 220d AMG Line Premium (2017, 27k miles). I've been offered a service package at £47 per month for 4 years. Based on the predicted service costs it looks a good deal, any views on this?

Hello and welcome,

Seems quite pricey - £564 per year

Hello and welcome, a popular question on the forum recently and I've arrived at the conclusion that as long as you're doing in excess of an average mileage of say 1k miles/Month, then no it isn't worth it, with Covid restrictions and home working getting more popular and in many cases permanent, users just aren't doing the mileage anymore and I think you'll find the wording in the contract T's and C's, the deal will propose a 'typical' mix of A and B services assuming an average mileage, which will assist you in comparisons with alternative deals, the deal will also state that services will be carried out regardless of whether an A or B service is due, so due to the reduced mileage you're doing you will lose out on all mileage related service items over 4 Years in this case and there are no refunds.

Getting a service deal from an MB Independent will be more flexible and cost effective I've no doubt, if a peace of mind is what you need and the only thing you will be missing out on is the Mobilo service from MB, but this can be replaced by an additional breakdown service policy if needed.

Periodically and I suspect when they're looking for work, MB have in the past offered regional Service deals so probably worth watching out for?

Hi and welcome to the forum :) That service does sound expensive, you could save yourself up to a couple of hundred pounds a year by using an independent as many of us do on here' I have just paid £430 on the Major B1 service + brake fluid change at my local Indy, an A service would be a lot cheaper than that. :)

Hello and welcome. I’ve just started paying £40 a month for a two year service plan on my GLC so £47 does, indeed, sound high.

Seems an oddly high price. Then again MB need to recoup the 20% discounted service plans they had a while ago.
