No idea but, if you don't know when it was last done, get up to MB for a filter, buy the right spec oil, and do it. We do ours at about 10K Kms and we buy the filters from MB in batches of 5.

Hi does a 2001 an E500 have a dash automated message on the dash when the engine oil needs changing? As I am looking at one hat has done 133,000 owner doesn’t know when it was last done. Plenty of other repair reciets though

Probably it will come up on the dash at 12 months or 15k miles ?
I would change any oil as the new owner though .

Good thing is it’s petrol so pull the dipstick and check the colour which may help you gauge the duration.

On my cars changed every 5k it’s still golden like new. Around 10k it may be bronze. Anything else and it’s probably worth avoiding.
