Hi from The Netherlands!

All tough I'm not a Mercedes-newbie, I'm new to this club, so I will introduce myself...

I live in The Netherlands, just a few kilometers from the Kinderdijk Windmills on the other side of the river Lek. I have a 1999 R170 SLK 230 Kompressor and since today I traded my 2011 W245 B200 CDI for a 2012 Obsidian Black S204 C250 CGI. No more diesel shaming for me!

I work as a choir conductor and musician. I play (double) bass and keyboards.

I hope to find a lot of answers, fun and knowledge ont his forum and I hope to contribute my share whenever I can.

Nice car, lovely country, great job! I spent my first years eating sand on the beaches of your country. From Deflt, to Lemmer, to Leltstad and The Jordaan - one of my favourite countries with such nice people, and really good coffee.

Welcome, an expensive decision to go petrol in Holland, that about £1.95 / Ltr in English money.
We will be in Holland in July visiting our Dutch friends, but I will fill up in Germany first.

Oh I know what it means and it is not always derogatory. You will find a Dutch person calling themselves a kaaskop and my wife is Dutch.

Without looking it up, I think literally translated "Kaaskop" translates as "Cheese Head" !
