Hi Guys - yet another newbie

Hello,
just found this forum and joined up as I am currently looking for a SLK.
ideally and early 350 (post car tax rip off) or a slightly more sensible 280.
Was thinking of a Boxster originally but Merc's just seem to have so much more going for them
On here hoping to find some good advise and tips on what to look out for and make a few friends on the way.
Past car history includes a Saab 93 which just got to long in the tooth. That was replaced by a Ford KA which my daughter has now stolen from me having passed here test. Hence now wanting something more fun for my self.
And I also currently have an old Landy which certainty keeps my hands dirty. lol.
Looking forward to chatting with you guys and hopefully finding my ideal car...

Thought I had found the one the other day, A really well spec'ed 350 down in Portsmouth area...
Even planned to a couple of days away with the Mrs to go and view it.
But hey, rang up yesterday and already sold.
Not surprising really, but someone is a lucky b..... out there. lol
Looks like it's just me and the Mrs now

Well, My hunt is over
Had my eye on one on autotrader over London. Went to view last Friday then went up Monday to bring her home.
So many toys to get my head around and play with, apparently she was a originally a MB demonstrator so has just about ever conceivable extra.
Just need some decent weather now...

And she seems to be settling into the family quite nicely, already made friends with the Landy:
