I'm Ivan from Sri Lanka and proud owner of C200 AMG premium plus 2019.
This is the first time I'm using a Mercedes and up to now I'm 100 % satisfied with the vehicle. I'm sure I'll have lot of questions and things to learn from old members of this forum.

I think I was last there in 1966 or1967. We flew in from Dubai in a Bristol Brittania. I remember it being very hot and there were palm trees everywhere.
Of course back then it was called Ceylon

I went there in 1989, equipped with a vintage German 6x12 folding panoramic camera, a mid-aged Mamiya Super Press Pro 23 and a latest (back then) Mamiya 645 (something), to do a book (photos) ... the above pic is taken on that 1930s vintage folding marvel ...

Wow nice to here that. I too have visited your country twice in 1998 and again 2012. By the way I'm using a 2019 C200 AMG premium plus vehicle. These days some of the roads under water due to floods. I have not taken out the vehicle for 6 days now. By any chance do you know the water hight I can travel ? Can I travel up to centre point of the wheels ? Or up to the floorboard?

Nice pics, beach and car.
Water wise I personally wouldn't go over the bottom of the sill, then always take it easy braking at 1st having been through water.

Welcome Ivan, Heaps of old members on here. Lifelong learning means the old ones have the most answers.

I celebrated the Millennium in Sri Lanka, Christmas and New Year with my family - we had a wonderful holiday. My 11yr old son got a cricket bat as a Christmas present. Taking it onto the beach on Christmas morning, he made about 300 friends. I had the pleasure of watching the most populated game of beach cricket I have ever seen.

Hope your Mercedes brings you lasting pleasure. Mine does every time I use it.
