SL350 - 2006
Hi I am new to Mercedes ownership and currently have an SL350 - 2006. I am just getting to know the car and some of its foibles!

Have sorted a few issues out with the help of posts I have seen on the Forum - notably EIS problems which when resolved sorted out the SRS warning light and loss of wipers / command system etc

I am now in the process of tackling the dreaded water leaks - mainly into the boot at the nearside and through the roof seal above the C post where the roof pivots.

I have read the very helpful threads on the rear screen seal to sort out the water leak into the boot but have not seen anything on the leak at the top of the c post where the roof hinges and 2 seals meet inside the car. Does anyone have any tips on how to stop this leak? 20180914_093838.jpg

sound simple but I like to start with the basics

clean out the rubbers /channels? visual inspection?

Treat rubbers as lostkiwi says is a good idea

no harm doing this work

The first step would be to gummiphledge the seals to make them supple again.

Thanks very much for your advice - sorry if its a daft question but what is gummipheldge ? Is it a bit like elbow grease :D
