I have a 2002 s320 cdi not starting just turning over.i have a code come up for engine temp sensor could this really stop my car from starting.thanks to all inadvance

Hi and welcome Lee. I imagine you have a coolant sensor issue and this is possibly setting off your EGR code. But I could be wrong.

As said I doubt these would cause non starting- CPS or glow plug module possibly?
Have you had the diagnostics at a Mercedes Independent ? That will be more specific and with some expertise behind them...

My temp gauge is in red when wipe codes it goes to drop but goes straight up again as codes don't clean I've tried engine temp sensor to no joy codes come back every time are

Welcome Lee, You codes are from a code reader. It may be that no one has the key for that code reader. For me at least, the codes are meaningless. I hope you get the car up & running. A visit to an Indy with Star will get you a definitive answer.

As mentioned before Lee, you’d be best getting a proper diagnostic with a Mercedes Independent specialist, as the codes are a little generic. The Star system will likely pinpoint the issue. There could be a number of issues as previously said, additionally DPF etc etc. Guessing will not help greatly.

Was crank sensor
But now I have cars temp in red all the while with not even been run with fan on full any help please
