That may well be due a gearbox oil and filter change at 37500 miles . Best check that for your car model

Silly question but, are they switched on in your menu settings?

No, it’s not silly, they are “on” in settings menu. They working under the seats, dashboard etc.

Surround lighting is not the ambient lighting setting but the “follow me home lights”, I’m not sure but I think it might not be under lighting but another section, convenience or vehicle maybe?

Should also mention that they won’t come on until dark, so you might have to cover the light sensor to fool it into thinks it’s night.

I’ve checked all the sections, nothing about ambient lighting, they are fitted, fuses are in place, I tried in the dark...nothing. Thank you

On my car it’s called “Ambient Lighting” and it can be adjusted from the “Vehicle Settings” section on the Comand screen.
