Hi, I'm Richard and have purchased an 03 plate SL500 from a very good owner with full MB/ Indy specialist service history and many expensive parts recently replaced. Enjoying getting to know the car and it's complexities! Wife always had C class estates so my turn to be an MB owner. Love V8s and last V8 was an SDi Rover in the 80s!

Haven't had to do much so far mainly fettle the CD changer that hadn't been used for a while, now working so got my Genesis and ELO discs in and check all fluids and tyre pressures! Oh and try to un-stick a stuck cup holder, got it out but still sticks in.

I've still got pretty much all my Genesis albums on Vinyl. I was a passionate fan in my teens. Still listen to Seconds Out occasionally and the Lamb lies down on Broadway.

Hey Richard,

Twas an 03 SL500 that got me interested whilst I had it on loan. I could not believe how well everything felt on the car being it was 18-years-old, I was so impressed with the loaner, I went and bought my own!
