Hi i'm new to this forum, got 2 mercs in the family, one W124 coupe and a w202 c180. Currently a Bmw driver but thats for sale now as i want a w210 e320 cdi.

Just have a few questions plz since i have no idea on mercs.

the w124, after 4000rpm the car jerks like crazy, I inspected the air flow sensor and it looked like it had been fried. Could this be the reason behind it?

secondly, is there a buyers guide on what to look out for on the w210 e320cdi? any hidden issues? recalls, etc?

Thank you

Make sure you fully check the bodywork on a 210 for rust, rear arches and the top of all the doors are favorites!! Do a search on hear and you will find loads about it.

What engine do you have on your 124 coupe??

well on the log book it says 2600cc so i assume its a 2.6 straight 6.

I'll have a look at the rust, i've ordered in the air sensor so hopefully that will sort out the jerking problem. I think the convertible version of this will be coming next :D

It will be a straight 4, or 6. 2.6 sounds strange i would image it to be a 2.8 3.0 or 3.2.

Have a look at the boot badge and the engine number on log book, or service book. most likely 103 or possibly 111 engine number.
