high idle when in 'Park' auto. W124 E200 multivalve.

When in park or neutral the RPM rises to around 2Krpm. Idles fine in drive with foot on brake whilst stationary.

idles fine from a cold start, problem persists once car has been driven and is warmed up.

Happens on gas and petrol.

any ideas?
