Can anyone tell me how to wire up a high level brake light on my W124 E280 1995 (saloon) (RHD).
I've read of problems with the "bulb out warning light" on the dash.
Can I just tap into the wiring behind one of the back lights?
I don't suppose there's a spur wire already there somewhere under the back shelf (as these lights were fitted standard for some markets).
Also, Eurocarparts and others advertise a pollen filter element for these late W124's with A/C.  Where is this unit to be found? - I've looked everywhere with no success!!!
Thanks in advance,
Doug

High Level Brake Light

The "Check-Control" bulb-out warning works by measuring the voltage across and the resistance of the lightbulbs to determine if they have a burned filament.

Therefore, paralleling the additional light to one of the existing light feeds may upset the check device. You may need to get a wiring diagram to see if there is a suitable or reserved connection point.
