New initiatives to turn motoring greener and create thousands of jobs have been announced by the Government.

Transport Secretary Geoff Hoon invited car companies to bid for the opportunity to participate in a £10 million project to run electric car and ultra-low carbon vehicle demonstration projects, overseen by the Technology Strategy Board.

10 years on and we'll still have nothing. It's sounds like just another nonsensical admin exercise. (Sorry- a demonstration project the Mandarins like to call it). Note the overseers are in there to put their 2 pennorth of political correctness in.
Meanwhile coordinated energy or transport policies will remain as pipe dreams.

The Tech Strat Board is yet another Labour Quango designed to employ oiks from other quango's that are in their death throws - such as the LSC! oh and don't forget those from the loony left who are h*ll bent on destroying what is left of society and dictating what everybody else must do and say whilst they themselves pickup the odd Lordship title and mix with the wealthy if not crooked foreign 'gentlemen'

What does this tell us of the Prime Ministers or Governments who continue recycling failed or discredited politicians, hoping for better luck next time?
