Horn not working few minutes after buying car

I bought a used 2007 Mercedes A150. When i purchased it, the horn worked perfectly...however, by the time i got home(same day), it had stopped working. One thing i remembered was that I heard a grinding sound around the front left wheel while driving home. I stopped to check, didn't see anything. The sound stopped on its own. When I got home and realized the horn wasn't working anymore, I checked a couple of things: the fuse is intact, the relay clicks, i brought out the horn under the latch and connected directly to the battery, it worked. What else do i need to check?? I am thinking the grinding noise was the second horn falling off and the horn under the latch wasn't the one working at the time i bought the car because all these happened within an hour.

Look contact for horn at steering wheel after establishing that horn there is connected properly

Remove the wire/terminal from the horn and pull the terminal, it might separate from wire.

So why ask us,,, why not talk to the owner you purchased the car from to start with. Sorry if help is slow it how it is ..
