With all of these things it is hard to get a good volt reading with the plug off the duo valve, it is what we call testing under load.

You could solder some wires onto a car bulb, and put the wires into the plug that goes into the duo valve, as you turn the controls from hot to cold the bulb should light up on the cold position, it will be a flickering light, but it will prove that the control is working

It's a very good idea i will do it to morrow and tell you the result.
10x for all malcolm and have a nice a good night

Hi Malcolm,

The voltage in electric connector of duo valve is a AC or DC voltage :(

Hi Malcolm,

The voltage in electric connector of duo valve is a AC or DC voltage :(

It is pulsed DC so could be read on an AC meter, but it depends on the speed, or pulse rate.

Heated seats work the same way, if the voltage was not pulsed, they would just get hotter and hotter.

With a pulsed voltage to the duo valve it will keep the valve set to a position and stay there. if it was pure DC the coil or solenoid would just go to the max position and stay there

I just made the test and when the selector is on Red postion the bulb is off.
When i turn selector in a blue aerea or just going little far from red position the bulb is on and steel on all the time.
When i come back to end's selctor to red, the bulb is off.
So what can you tell me about that plz.

That is correct, no voltage when on red (hot) and a voltage on blue.

I saw in another post last night the a man had a problem with the Duo valve,,he took the top covers off and turned the rubber cushions over as they made the valve stick
