Hot and Cold+ Door Self Lock

E300 1997 Advantgarde Estate:
My problem: On a hot day controls set for air con:
The passenger vent blows cold but the drivers one blows very hot.
It will in time settle down so both are cold.
Other problem is the door locks used to self lock when driving above a certain speed. This dosent happen any more. Locks work okay by the remote though.
