my merc 190E has (what i think is) the factory-installed immobiliser. it's activated by a small key on my key fob, with two metallic stripes on one side and three on the other. plug in, withdraw, red LED goes green and i'm good to go ... only recently, the LED will not go green unless i do loads of jiggling/pulling/twisting etc, have ended up pulling out the immobiliser body to get a reliable start. it's a PITA.

four wires come out the back of the immob. module - does anyone know how i could rig these so as i don't need the immobiliser?

hmmm. not going to discuss this on an open site...

but first off i'd pull open the body of the immbob socket thing and tweek the contacts back - they have probably lost a bit of spring and are dirty (esp if you smoke in the car)
