I have a mate who's car is pristine yet his house is like a tip......(HE IS SINGLE) in fact i know several people whose house's are the type that you wipe your feet on the way out!!!

Me personally I like to let the crap build up for about a month and then spend a full day letting the wife clean it!!!! I only know one person who's car and house are immaculate.Going back a few years I owned and ran a Spar mini market and every week one of my customers would park his car outside my shop and then continue to empty the the contents of his ashtray on my car park!!!..it drove me nut's but I didn't say anything to him because I was trying to grow the business:cry:
What's your clean car filthy house story??????????

Bob.

The car is a mess, if it's going to be clean it's got to be immaculate, I'm talking about dust off the vents and around the buttons.

House isn't too bad mind.

There is a lot to be said for that, my office at work looks like there is never anyone there (insert wise crack), my office at home, I forget what the desk is made out of. I have computer bits and charging leads and god knows what all over it. How it all got there I have no idea as I didn't put it there. I blame the cat.

Your cats not been here has it?

House is clean(ish). Office (in house) is full of allsorts. Computer bits, programmers for my sat system, papers for work etc.

No car stuff though.

Garage is presently loaded on a trailer ready to be tipped as I'm having a new one built next month.

Hopefully this will be kept tidy as I'm putting in a tiled floor, dry lined walls & ceiling and building a workshop at the back of it for my PC bits & bobs, so this *should* make room in my own for real work things. Oh, and having a roller shutter door after reading about television Malcolms :)

Car is *nearly* pristine (will be this w/end, weather permitting)

My door is electric and insullated, as I have now bought 3 doors for other people I can get a discount from Lakeside garage doors. very good point with a roller door is that you gain 100mm on the opening

Have to have a chat when it gets nearer the time. Still taking the old one down at the moment.
Not got all my measurements yet, but I want it pretty wide to allow for my reversing :)

Not seen gritters here yet, but you're a bit further up than me...

Having said that, we don't usually see ours until it's too late anyway.

Least it should hose off OK Barry :)

i am single. one of the cars is in need of a bit if a muck out, altho it is used to transport cak about and did get a waxing and an engine bay clean 3 weeks ago. Came up a treat. The other, as its only 3 weeks old, is mint.

the house is usually kept tidy but at the moment with the drive having just been done and the new washer arriving tomorrow, it needs a carpet sucking in the hallway which wont get done till next week. Plus I have been half heartedly sorting out the collection of rubbish household bills and other collected items, and they are currently taking up the second bedroom floor.

the large back garden however, dont ask!:-(

And when i get time off, i seem to trot off down south instead of domestic chores. I should make time for myself really.

You haven't experienced REAL mud until you live down our lane:shock: The local farmers send out special mud squads in the middle of the night with tractors and trailers full of fresh mud and shovel it all down our lane:shock:  They just do it to wind the TOWNIES UP!!!

House is down to the Mrs and the 'lady that does' Vs Me and the Kids so varies between showhouse and pigsty depending on the day of the week!

The cars are down to me. I try to clean mine once a week or if it isn't necessary, every 2 weeks. Muck all over and trash in the footwells are badges of honour during the week (shows I'm doing something) but I like to clear them up at the weekend and start afresh every Monday.

The Mrs likes her Jeep to look 'countryfied'. So saddles in the back, straw on the floors and mud up the sides is the preferred state. I polished it last week, she wasn't pleased but found a nice muddy track the next day to get it back in proper condition. She doesn't want to be compared with the chelsea tractor brigade!
