Hi all,

Sorry to repeat myself from an earlier post, but i am trying to top up the brake fluid in my W123 230E - the reservoir has two compartments, but when i pour in the fluid, only the reservoir toward the back of the car fills up. I might be missing somethinng obvious here, but how do i fill the other reservoir??

Thanks.

Keep filling - there's a partition between the chambers which extends to just below the maximum fluid level. In this way, if one circuit fails, it cannot drain the fluid from the other circuit.

Wow, thanks guys, that's a pretty quick response.. got a long drive in the morning, so i really appreciate it... didn't want to overfill the first one, so stopped just before the max line - would never have thought of that.

Eggman read reply on your other post, As I have said if you have brake lights coming on and your brake fluid reservoir is low check brake pads all round or for brake fluid leak, when or if you have to renew pads you may have to take brake fluid out if you have topped it right up, brake fluid level only drops in the reservoir as pads wear or if you have a leak. Hope this helps
