I need to remove the door control module, but can’t see how to release this last connector. 31C2EDC9-1829-435F-80F4-D3B6C42115F8.jpeg 8602712F-5148-419A-8BAF-D2D949123331.jpeg

Any “press-in” tabs on it?

Nope, that’s what’s got me stumped. There is a little hole in the side of the blue bit - I’ve tried pressing in there, but didn’t do anything.

I’d keep a poking until it comes off... I’ve not had a connector beat me yet and thankfully not damaged many

Can you take an image of the connector, carefully focused?

I think he's on to something.... does that allow the blue bit to come off which in turn allowes the black bit to be released.... an image from the top would be nice...

often on many multiplugs, the release levers hinge the opposite way to how you think they would build them

No, the black bit that is under the 2 is part of the case.

as per the NEW picture above ….the bit that would then sit proud above the face of the case ? if so then I guess that its the release lever ??? and it need to come out sideways allowing the thing to release....

why is there an odd round hole on the bottom nearest the word Mercedes (in white on the case).... can something go in there to release things?

A couple of, hopefully, better focused photos.

I have tried pushing in at both of the holes in the blue outer where marked, but nothing seemed to release. FF8B3531-0734-4819-97E8-262CF35C92EF.jpeg D4B1650B-7FFC-494E-BFF5-9A0AAC63DC6C.jpeg 9518DFF3-46D5-4087-BA9B-F19741014206.jpeg FE85DFB0-1885-4328-9215-7A45829680B9.jpeg

Is someone pulling whilst you are pushing the tabs in ?
Unfortunately there’s only me, so I’m poking/pushing and pulling !

I'm afraid by now, I would have had a pair of pliers around the body and teased it out with gradually increasing brute force and ignorance until it surrendered and then dealt with the aftermath as necessary. Life's too short.

the car’s not being used at the moment, so no great rush. Just spending 5-10 mins at a time having a go. If no advance by Thursday then brute force will probably be the order of the day.

Try pushing the small black tab in and lever the black tab where the 2 wires are up.

My guess would be to push the black tab in then push the blue cover towards the blue dot then lift it up, or with the tab pushed in pull the blue cover up and backwards, (away from the dot) whilst lifting it whilst leaving the back of the blue cover in its “hole” then lift it out.

Failing that see #13

Take a look at the other sockets on there and see how the plug came out of them . May be it is fused together through corrosion or damp or even a short

Just a thought is it that the blue plug is fixed and the tab actually releases the wires.

An old B-Class.
I had MB speaker plugs that needed something like a paperclip to be pushed into a tiny hole to release.
