How to fit mirror glass to wing mirror on a W168

[GSM1956]

Hi All,

I have a 2000 A170CDI Avantgarde and a low flying pigeon smashed into my wing mirror knocking the glass out. The glass was hanging by the heater wires. The question is how do you refit the glass? The mirror is an electric heated one.

Welcome to the forum. My drawing is not so good, it looks as though it has the standard wire link over the top, when one of our resident engineers come on they will confirm this

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I have just been out to the car to have another attempt and this time I have been successful. Not sure how but the glass seems to be remaining in.
