For anyone reading this and you do not fancy in doing this yourself, I will do it.

The cost is £40 per hour, and it takes from 2 to 4 hours depending on the state of it. There are no material cost.

One has the choice of watching and talking or you can go down to the sea front and do what you like.

I am not a business any longer, I do it because I can :D

Is that offer still open haha? mine isn't leaking but you can see it will in the future as the rubber has sank.. I will need to post a photo

It might be difficult.
Television sadly passed away just over 2 years ago.

Yeah that looks pretty nasty.
You need to remove the seal, sort the rust and go from there.

No leaks! I’m an electrician (sometimes) not really a job I feel I’m able to do on such a beautiful car.. what do you think an indie may charge?

I can't speak for an indy. You'd need to ask them.

Water collects in the foam around the PSE pump, underneath the boot liner. If water gets in there, after a while the pump stops working properly and your roof, boot, central locking will die. Just remove the old seal, clean up the rust, re-seal and replace as per Malcolm's guide.

Everything in the boot is dry as a bone, my worry is it’s clearly came away from the glass and looks awful!

My dad had the car from new, garaged.. maybe that has helped.

Have you tried a different browser? Seems to be working fine for me but I'm on a mobile?

I just just missed the opportunity to meet Malcolm and benefit from his genius fix. So, about two years ago I did the full Television R230 boot leak procedure with the Loctite, a replacement rear window seal and a new pump. All good, no leaks.

Until this winter. Back with a vengeance. The black retracting flap mechanism on the boot lid area on one side is regularly dripping wet, carpet soaked and loads of condensation dripping inside rear screen. I am mortified and really do not want to go through the whole rigmarole again and/or stumping up for a new pump.

Does anyone know of ANYONE, ANYWHERE, trade or private that can reproduce Malcolm's fix?

I will travel anywhere in the U.K. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

I think any of our usual recommended indy list would be able to sort that.
MBS - Southampton
Star - Reading
Avantgarde - Bristol
AMF - Dartford

(These are all regular contributors here)

Also Welwyn Mercs (Welwyn)

There are probably others as well

Thank you Gentlemen!

I have had a chat with MBS, (I am in Doncaster but I have a friend in Bournemouth area with a spare sofa), and I hope to book in with them in early new year. Fingers crossed....

Much appreciated!
