hi,

was hoping someone could help me figure out how to use STAR/WIS/whatever to get the wiring harness diagrams for the W211/R170/W206

there seems to be a lot of stuff that comes up when you search and it doesn't seem relevant.

i am hoping there are parts of WIS that give me the full wiring harness diagrams, complete with information about the connectors (like honda does)

can someone assist me here please?

it doesn't seem as straightforward as i thought it would be.

thanks

finally something to study, which i would have otherwise been doing if the redneck-equivalents (on the opposite end of the spectrum though) in the Hornest's Nest (also called the motherland) weren't such haters.

and because wis is so ghetto i will have to waste even more time checking each car separately.
hoping i can find my way back to the same section for another car is just asking to get mad.

i have never thought someone would write a corporate application this critical in java.
i am not saying it's bad. for java it's quite impressive, actually.

the limitations of the program may be a result of design choices and not the language, but i can't help but think having multiple windows would be nice here. i don't think i can use multiple windows since each window has a user/license/whatever associated with the server.

whatever!

I had WIS years ago. I thought it had a horrible UI amd navigation was mental.

We are spoilt with modern interface computers

i agree we are spoiled with modern interface computers mioba, but benz should have done what HANDA did: give helms the rights to their outstanding circuit diagrams.

i prefer official manuals. i got so familiar with the 99-03 TL/CL vehicles that i ended up discovering (pretty big) typos in the connector labels for the CL manual. i would concede, in a similar vein as above, that i was spoiled working on such vehicles because their documentation was superb. it's rare to encounter an electrical gremlin if you're disciplined and do it right.

back on topic:

seems the 32 AMG has an on-board pressure sensor though, whereas the regular M112 does not.

but really this is looking ****ing awesome.

before i get more into it i should look into the non-trivial nature of reprogramming benz ECUs. again coming from HANDA this was a pretty straightforward process.

"STI killer" is all that is running through my head right now.

The M112 ecu from the 4matic car will lack the control circuitrty entirely to switch the blower, the AMG32 cars have a different ECU than the normal ones.
