How to initialise sun roof

Hi, I have fitted a new battery to my w211 e320cdi 02 model, and the sunroof will not work! been told that it needs initialising with holding the button for so long? can somebody give me a bit more to go on to sort this? cheers Dave

Hi,
Have you tried to tilt it first? as mine does something similar when i disconnect the battery but tilting it first always works for me.

keep pressing the button until open keep it pressed once open, close it al the way and let it tilt, again once open keep the button pressed for 2 secs, that should do it Dave!!
