I have to remove and replace a leaking heater core in my '99 E300 TD wagon. does anyone have experience with this job?
Also anyone know where I find repair manuals for this model?

Thanks TV,
Sounds like fun!(
Maybe that's why it was bypassed instead of fixed)!
Any step by step manuals, video known to be out there? I am sure I can handle it if I have the proper route mapped out for me)

I would buy a set of WIS disc from Ebay and try and install them, there are far too many papers for me to print off

As Malc has said, its a long long job, a handy diy man can take this job on, just have loads of plastic bags for screws etc, take photos of each stage, you can never take to many, try to make each part a stage and keep them screws etc listed to that stage, give yourself a good time scale to do the job...............

Enjoy.......

They cover every car and to be truthful if you get the WIS disc up to 2006 they are easier to use and cheaper

I will follow that advice. I like cheaper and I hope the version you recommend doesn't take up as much memory space. The 2013 version takes up 60gb(.
That'll beat up my little laptop real bad)
Thanks again TV!

You just follow the instructions on the disc that comes with them and so simple to instal and use, every part of the job that you need to do is all there in every detail
