... if a car I'm looking at has Comand or just Audio?

I'm looking at a 2010 E350 Estate and the seller tells me it has Comand but I'm not sure he's right. Are there any visual clues that will tell me one way or the other? I have asked for the VIN but not received it yet.

The car is in beautiful condition and has all the toys I was looking for but I might pass it up if the ICE isn't Comand.

Simple, does it have built in MB Satnav, if so it has command.

Technically not (but, in practice, yes) because my 2010 E Coupe had Navigation 20 retrofitted to the original Audio 20 by Comand.

Doesn’t Comand of that era have a slot for an SD card which the Audio 20 doesn’t have?

I realised Comand has the “NAVI” button (left on 2nd row down) whereas Audio 20 has a Sound button (I think!)

Well, it certainly has sat nav but I ws under the impression that can also be had with Audio 20 - maybe as an afterfit?

Just post the vin number on here and we will give you the manufacturer spec sheet..

I have the MB VIN decoder app on my phone, but that wouldn't tell me if the satnav was added after delivery. Comand would be a good place to start though ... if only the owner would send me the VIN.

If you are buying and it is legit owner should send you vin..

hmmmm, not really true, my car runs with the added module from factory, but my car isn't COMAND.

If the owner doesn't have a plugin module in the glove box and has sat nav then it would be COMAND.
