I have a CLC 220 59 plate. We have had a persistent problem for some time - I have brought it up on here before, but now we have some more information if anyone can help? The car is presenting with the revs on a light throttle - like a slow rise and fall which can be seen on the rev counter. Mercedes did a diagnostic run and said there was fluctuation in the diesel rail. They said it was probably the sensor that regulates the fuel on the end of the rail. We've changed the sensor, cleaned the EGR valve, fitted a new fuel filter and had the intakes pressure/smoke tested to check for leaks. It has resulted in quite a big reduction of the problem, however it is still there - noticeably more on start up. Another independent garage said it could be the turbo actuator, but couldn't pinpoint the problem. At Mercedes and this garage, no codes have come up on the diagnostics. Can anyone help or where do we go from here please?? Many thanks in anticipation!!
