Hydrocarbon content excessive?

My r129 failed MOT on the hydrocarbon content excessive. What would make the car do This? Should be 0.132 but it was 1432. Did have the ma's module changed and found out they did not clear codes but I did this and car is not running right.
Anyone help.
Also anyone got got any pictures of the rear metal brake lines?

How often is it used?
If rarely then give it a really good run...(Italian tune up) and get them to test it again when it’s hot.
How old / dirty is the air filter and how old are the plugs?

It's got new air filter and plugs are less than six months old. The car has not been drivern a lot. Only had 3000k since last MOT and that had no problems and the car has never had any problem like this. Will give it a good run and see how that goes. It was sitting around for a while.

if all else fails there was a wheeler dealer episode where Ed used the Terraclean system to get the HC down. I favour the italian tune-up first...

Ended up being the plugs. GSF sold me the wrong plugs for the car. Always had hard time starting. Was told by another member take a plag out if it had a R on it change the plugs to F8DC4.
Did this and it passed & the car run much better.

Have to admit, I don't think I would have spotted that. I guess Yr correct plug runs hotter.
