Hi,

In my car there is an option to raise, lower the suspension. It has two levels that the suspension can go up or down by.

Just wondering what is the best level to drive the car at?

Does it have any implications on hyrolics or suspension in general?

Any other adv/disadv?

Thanks

You never use the upper 2 positions for normal driving, if the terrain is rough then raise it and drive slowly, if you are very old, then you can raise the car to make it easier to get in and out:rolleyes:

Well I dont have the age problem, yet.

So its best to drive on normal without raising suspension at all? Does it increase the life of hydrolics as well?

Not really, if you raise the car there is less movement in the suspension as the car is sitting on the top end of the struts, and the ride is quite hard, its main use is for high kerbs etc,, for instance it is very easy to park the front over the kerb, and when you come back to the car the front apron is tight on the kerb, so just raise the car and reverse off. It is good for boarding a ferry or a ford and things like that for the cars do sit very low
