Hi there, can anyone tell me if I can use the interior of a 500SEC to replace the worn one in my 380sec.

Anyone know of a good place to get a replacement interior?

many thanks and happy Easter to you all

Yes, you can certainly swap INTERIOR parts around from a 500SEC into a 380SEC.

All 126 Coupes have the same interior panels, seats, mouldings and trim.

Only real differences are exterior - late SEC's have different bumpers and moulding design and also wider/more flared front wing arches.

cheers,

Also, try Mercman, based in Southampton, for a good replacement interior.

Number to call is 02380 784444.

One piece of caution - I doubt you will need to change the lower wood piece in the centre console around the gearshift, but if you do need to then the wood trim must be from an early SEC (pre 86). The early SEC wood trim have switches which slot in from above the wood. The late SEC's have switches that slot in from beneath - so the cut-out is different in the wood. You cannot interchange switches, since the switch housings are completely different.

That's the only thing you really need to be aware off.
