Leaving your phone visible on the seat normally gets it opened quickly ;)

Sounds like he has to get in it first to be able to make it visible on the seat so he still will need that Locksmith :D

Banding tape is a good idea, and like others i keep a piece just in case ,.Dont like the air bag idea that will bend the door frame for sure ,.

I’ve used the air bags 2 times, the idea is to use them in pairs, small one on top corner of the door (not like in the photo) for 4-5 mm opening and the second one in middle of the door where the lock mechanism is.

Or maybe managed to get in and mistakenly lock the doors and can’t get out, phone battery has died and no one around to hear him scream
in a Toyota Corolla 2016 no one can hear you scream...

The easiest way on MOST cars is just to push a wire coat hanger through the door seals and pull the handle, but as I said, on MOST cars.

Only problem with that though Brian is the risk of paint damage. Plastic strapping, the kind used on packaging would be better :)
