may have posted this before, if i have then im sorry ? does the e280 1993 w124 have an idle control valve, i keep getting told it does, apparently its on the throttle body, its either the little gear in side that works electrically, or its the micro switch on the throttle return stop, is this correct or not,?

It does not have a valve as such it is all done electronically on your car.

The throttle position switch informs the ECU of the throttle position and along with coolant temperature sensor etc etc the ECU sets the idle position according to calculations taking into account lots of variables about the state of the engine at any moment in time.
