i may do 100+ regularly but thats on motorways and in good weather, i make a point of doing 20mph or less around where i live as an extra 10mph is not worth a kids life

The guy obviously sounds like an idiot. What concerns me more is the over the top sentencing. Since when do driving offences warrant a curfew and community order as well as a jail-term, driving ban and heavy fine?

Seems if you assault someone or break into someones house you get a minor slap on the wrist but commit the cardinal sin of driving like an idiot and they throw the book at you. The mind boggles!!!
