Hi all.
I'm becoming a bit paranoid about my ignition barrel after reading the posts here, and though mine seems OK at the moment, with 130k I think it might be prudent to change it anyway! It seems easy to change, but my manual makes no mention of the 'ground down welding rod removal tool' regularly mentioned in this forum, and I cant find a description of it anywhere.
Would someone point me in the right direction, or describe how the tool is made up?
Many thanks, Tom.

Small length of welding rod bent in the shape of a U With both ends tapered at the inside turn ignition switch until notches line up and insert the tool whilst pulling on the key
