ignition help please

i have 2 e200 i want to switch ignitions eis from one to the other, can anybody tell me what is involved in this as one car is better than the other and the eis is gone on one and i dont think its just the ignition switch to change... thanks

if anybody can tell me what is involved in the changing of the ignitions i would be greatfull

that would not workbecause it was nearly stolen and they made a mess with my ignition, which is why i have to change it

The age of both cars tells me the EIS has to be swapped along with the Engine Control module.

There may also be a need to swap the Electronic Steering Lock as well. These are paired to their EIS switches.

If possible swap the EIS, ESL and the Engine ECU.

mb car tech is correct. the eis,esl,ecu,key all have to be changed. all from the same car and you will not have a problem.

The steering locks are not affected on these cars
