Hi all. Today the fob was difficult to turn as in steering lock didn't make the usual noise. I finally got it to work and made it home. Decided to change battery in the only fob I have. Now nothing works no c/l fob wont turn just keep getting "calculating please wait" and a key symbol. No red lights work on fob either. I have disconnected the van battery in the hope the ECU will reset and allow ignition lights on in the hope of reading a fault with diagnostics. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Were the red lights on the fob working before you decided to replace the fob battery. If yes, then make sure you put the battery the right way, and no clear plastic stuck to one side of the CR battery.

I am not sure if the red lights were working before I changed battery in fob. Central locking was working fine before I touched it. Double checked battery + facing up no clear plastic. Thanks

You can double check the IR signal. Press the button and see the front of the key through a digital camera. Do you see a dot...?

Wow you have just thought me something thank you. I turned out the light looked at the fob through the phone camera and noticed a blue light when I pressed the lock and unlock button. Can I assume my fob is ok?
