I am pretty sure that my ignition switch needs to be replaced.
Is this a big problem?
Is it an arm and a leg in a garage?

Thanks
Ray

The switch part is quite easy to do,,I take it that you are not replacing the key section

Thanks for your reply.

Engine progressively unable to turn over.
Sometimes it will start instantly, on other occasions I have to by pass the switch, taking a positive lead straight to the solenoid on the relay.
Problem becoming more frequent and more difficult to overcome.
(new S/Motor, new gearbox inhibitor switch, not much left is there?!

You could have a K38 relay this is a starter lock out relay.

This sits on the firewall behind the radio this relay is known to have bad connections causing the starter to not always turn
