ignition switch w124 220ce

220 ce (112K) ignition switch: Real problem inserting key - happened yesterday.
Have got the key back in and can switch on. Is the problem with the tumbler?

Any advice as to how to proceed is really appreciated and does anyone know of a workshop manual for this coupe?

Leave the key in the ignition at position 1 and don't take it out. Then go to a dealership with the V5 and order a new ignition lock keyed to your car. Remove the old lock and fit the new lock when it arrives. Then relax!
