I think that the inverters fail as the door sills are very long in a SL, I read all of your post on that.

I think I will have to change the puddle lights to blue LEDs. They look so yellow against the blue sills. Did you need to do anything special to use LEDs?

for the puddle lights I just bought some 38mm festoon blue LED, looks nice when its dark. as for changing the switch LED to blue, please try to get it out of your head, its not an easy task, with most of the led being not accessable for removal, I ended up using a dremel to remove the tops from the led and soldering a 1mm x 2mm (yes thats small lol) blue led onto the now exposed metal.

I am still pondering on doing the comand to blue, but it has 47 led and will project an image in the sky like batmans spotlight if i use the same type of led's lol

I didnt do the courtesy lights, the blue ones are just not bright enough, but there are some named FLUX LED that are even brighter so I may do that at some stage, have to see. I did do the boot also, but needs another light on the left hand side as its a bit dim compared to the standard festoon

Yes there are kits for the 230,, these work OK as they are not as long as the 129.

Take care of the Ebay versions, they are alli and scratch very easily
