Yes, and in typical Honda fashion, it will no doubt be cheaper, better and more reliable than the A class. I have only occasionally driven an A class and can't say I enjoyed the experience.

In typical Honda fashion it is short of legroom front and rear for me at least. I have driven the new model A's for quite a few thousand miles including to Spain and back and have been nothing short of delighted by them . Totally reliable too.
Quite different cars although the Honda has some lookalike characteristics I guess. The Jazz is a good small car, a super-mini. The A class according to all main reviews is as roomy as an E class and the safest car in its class. It is also available in diesel with auto box, which the Honda isn't. My brother beats 60mpg in his manual A160cdi and we regularly beat 52 mpg in our auto A180cdis.
We actually have more legroom than an Accord or than a CRV (both of which I have owned).
Don't worry if you don't like the new Jazz. There'll be a new one along as soon as BMW have a new model out they can copy, or maybe the new Volvo's tail lights look nice in which case they'll copy that instead.
Interesting that this plaigarism is moving oustide Japan. Saw a pic of the new fiesta on TG last night. Or rather saw a pic of a peugeot that apparently will have ford badge.
Completely agree with hawk and jberks. The Germans remain the trend setters in terms of styling and technical innovation. My guess is that many who are disparaging about the A Class are basing their opinion on the old model which all are agreed had its shortcomings. 169 a completely different animal.
I've absolutely no experience of the first generation A Class but I am genuinely delighted with my second generation A Class. My folks have a Honda Jazz and it is an excellent car but it is considerably smaller and nowhere near as roomy and comfortable as my A Class. Their Jazz is an almost identical colour to my A Class and, when they are parked side by side they do look very similar. The current A Class really does have TARDIS like qualities. My partner commented only yesterday that for something that looks so small on the outside compared to my last car (Volvo S80) the room and comfort inside is amazing - and she is absolutely spot on.
Tomorrow I shall find out how franchished Mercedes Benz dealers are in comparison with Honda as it goes in (they volunteered to collect it so that was a good start) for attention to a minor fault.
