Immobilizer preventing car from starting....

Let me start by saying I am not car savvy. I unarmed the car, got in and tried to star the car. The red and green lights came on so I armed the vehicle again. After disarming I tried to start again. It tried but the red and green lights came back on and killed the engine. Did this a few times. Haven't a clue and was supposed to collect my dog tonight.....Pls help!

What car, year and model? Mercedes alarm and immobiliser, or aftermarket such as Scorpion? Have you tried your other key fob/remote?

You will get more responses if you give us a clue perhaps.

Have you called the AA or RAC if you are a member?

It is an N-reg C200. I think it's the original mercedes alarm/immobilizer on it. I only have one key -if I have another key I don't know where it is. Hope this sheds some more light! I am a member of the AA but the car is parked right outside my flat and am trying to avoid a £100bill -if possible.

I dunno if you have resolved this problem as yet. I have a1996 E200. I had the same probem. It turned outtatthe bateries of the key fob were weak. I changed the batteries on the key fob and everything is working fine.

I'm suffering too!! Couldn't disarm immobiliser or deactivate central locking after parking at M1 services, Unfortunately its not something as simple as the batteries in the fob. I'm waiting for the log book to come from DVLA, then i'm going to get another fob from a stealership. The one I have is in pieces due to my frustration. By the way, I got the AA out and he couldn't do anything. He said there was no signal coming from my alarm fob. I've got C220 Diesel Auto Esprit 1995 N. Someone said something about checking the OVR. Only know basics about cars!! Can anyone elaborate?? Also ABS light & brake pad lights are on. One last thing when I was driving, every gear was fine except accelerating from standing. Over revved before changing into 2nd ( I think ). Cheers Monkeyman1973
