(Posting on behalf of my father in law - he hasn't quite got the hang of this t'internet thing yet!)

My father in law has just bought a 04/05 CLK 320 Avantguarde merc... and very nice it is too!

He has the in car phone kit fitted, but we are unsure of what's needed to connect the phone. There is a connnector in the central arm rest - does he need to change his phone or can he get a connector?

Thanks for any advise!

Liam.

You will need to go the dealers and order a phone holder. Not all phones can be used. What sort of phone does he have?

The do appear on ebay to. What you are looking for is a UHI phone holder like these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mercedes-Coma...ryZ10398QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Ones for a nokia 6310i are readily available as people replace their aging handsets (I have one on a shelf in my garage if you're interested), the others are harder to come by. MB charge £131 for them. I found a few for my 6230i on ebay but they were going for £90+ for used examples and I figured that for the difference I may as well have a new one so bought mine from the dealer.
