I finally bought a replacement headunit for my car (Kenwood indash screen with dvd player, ipod connection, £700 from Drivetime in Chiswick. Should get it installed tomorrow, you get a lot of options with it like reverse cam, parking sensor, the sat nav is brilliant it's a Garmin unit that also is a camera detector but it's the Mrs's birthday next month so I can pay another £500 for that.

Hi Noops, One of the guys here bought a Sat Nav, but his Danish wife always argued over the route it took, so he changed the sound to speak Danish, and she never said another word against it.
I put in my Ex's post code in Stockholm Sweden, and it says, turn left, then take the second exit, and so on all the way to Sweden, Is this your first one.

I've currently got a MB sat nav but it got a tape deck and I can't connect my Ipod, so I decided to pay and get a more modern unit, In five months I've only used my sat nav two times and both times it's got me there quite easily. I got quite a good sense of direction but in certain cases it has proved quite useful, thats why I've been quite hesitant to replace the unit before.

Keep the original and put it back in the car when you sell it.
Cheers.

I'm going to leave the original cd changer and sat unit in the boot, and put the head unit in a box with bubble wrap, underneath my bed.

What exactly did you get??? (Links and Pics would be good)

Am thinking similar lines on my ML, Ideally keeping the CD player as well if it's possible.

Requirements I'd like are:
Card reader (Ideally SD, but will buy a different one) for playing MP3s
DVD
Rev Camera
PC In
Touch Screen (ideally)
DAB radio (Maybe)

Has anyone seen one of these rumoured HDD units with USB? I've heard them talked about, but not seen any.

http://www.hendoncarstereo.co.uk/trolleyed/116/index.htm

It's the second one down, it does play Dvd's, touchscreen, amp connections, it has the options for reverse cam, sd memory card for map update(in sat nav unit), ipod connection, dvd player or ps2. I am disconnecting the sat nav and multiplayer, but I will leave them in the car.
