I've seen lots of threads and posts asking for recommendations to a good independent in members' local areas.

Good service with a friendly and helpful attitude and all at a reasonable price.
My E240 (W210) estate went into SPR Autos today with gearbox problems. I also wanted my front suspension sorted, and my aircon fixed.
Aircon is beyond repair - but no charge for the time taken to find and diagnose this. (hope we don't have a scorching summer!!).
Suspension done - potholes seem to have disappeared and the ride is so quiet!
Gearbox diagnostic check and service (I've read with concern the threads about 'sealed for life' autoboxes - it's like the theory of perpetual motion, arguably a fantasy. How long is 'for life', anyway?).
