Hi,
I have the dreaded left hand indicator "stuck on" problem and have checked out previous threads...and am pretty sure its going to need replacing!

Wondered if anyone knew of any procedures for removal of wheel and replacement of new stalk already posted or could perhaps point me in right direction ?
Many Thanks
Ray.

You need a 28 torx bit 2" long and undo the two screws in the rear 3 oclock and 9 oclock.

Unplug the qair bag and place face up out of the sun.
Do not turn on ign, or you will store a fault code.

You need a 10mm hex key of good quality, to remove the center bolt, its tight at 90Nm and a long bar or an airline wheel bolt remover, to shift it, remember the shock is better than pulling

Airbag Connectors?

Hi,
Thanks for that, saved by the "Knowledge Bank" again!
Got a little snag though, in as much as not sure how to disconnect airbag plugs! would it be from combined connector (furthest away), or from nearest end of cable (split into 2 connectors, 1 directly into rear of airbag, yellow end), and how exactly do they detatch please? as they do not all appear to disconnect in normal way, one is obvious, but not so other two.
Thanks

Ray.

Just press the locking tab inwards where it plugs into the steering wheel

Thanks, but prob is that the one in the middle of air bag rear (yellow end) I am not familiar with , there is no "obvious" way to detach,.... does it just "pull" straight out? ..looking as much as I can see, it "appears" to be similar to a low pressure, push type air fitting? the other branch of that split has usual type push in block connector fittng, with lug at side to press.
Not too sure on that and dont want to "Break it", cos I will, I know it.

The other end has, what looks like a simple fitting, but when you lift locking tab it still does not allow you to withdraw plug, also this fitting seems to be sprung, as you can apply inward pressure and it will spring back out.

Thanks again.

Ray.

I have no info on un clipping these things, I just do it by touch,,are the wires long enough to move it up or down so that you can undo the 10mm bolt, leaving the bag still plugged

It will not help with a picture, you just have to work out how the plug comes out, the plug is locked in with a catch, the release part has to be pushed over far enough to release the catch, with a good light source and a magnifying glass you will see what you have to do

Sorted, was straightforward pull out (but tight) plug with small 2 pin fitting into squib, was just unsure of how much pressure to apply, knowing what Im dealing with!

Thanks again Malcolm, just need to "crack" centre bolt tomorrow.

Good one :D Now remember that 10mm bolt is torqued to 90Nm and shock work better tha pulling

Right wheel off...but was wondering how to remove round black plastic plate that connector plugs into once wheel removed?
as does not seem to pull off easily and no apparent locking lugs.

Cheers

Thanks for your help Malcolm, all done and dusted!
as it happens I could not open the pdf, but thanks for trying, sussed it myself in the end.
Turns out you have to "flex" the plastic disc upwards from opposite sides which allows it to travel past its stop point, this then allows two holes to be lined up with screws beneath...two screws out, all back together ten mins later!
Easy when you know,

Thanks again,

Ray.
